Won a Awwwards Site of the Day for Meridian UX project
Awarded Awwwards Site of the Day for a client project — a brand identity and website for a Berlin-based architecture studio. The site was recognized for its restrained typographic system, deliberate use of negative space, and a custom scroll-driven animation that revealed floor plan drawings as the user moved through each project case study. The jury noted the balance between visual ambition and functional clarity, which is often difficult to achieve in portfolio-style websites where aesthetics can overshadow usability. The project had a deliberately long development cycle — around eleven weeks — because the goal was never to ship something trendy, but something that would still feel considered five years from now.
The Awwwards recognition came as a surprise since the site was submitted without expectation; it was more of a personal milestone marker than a marketing move. Following the award, inbound inquiries increased noticeably, and the project has since been referenced in several design publication roundups covering European studio websites. The experience confirmed that the most resonant work tends to come from projects where both client and designer are willing to slow down, resist defaults, and make deliberate decisions at every layer — from typeface selection down to hover state timing.
